Objectives

For my objectives, I decided to look through the Chemistry 12 curriculum to find some topics that I need further knowledge on. Organic chemistry is a unit for this grade level, and within it there were a few topics that I decided I would investigate.

Objectives – What are you going to learn?

-          Identify what makes organic chemistry unique compared to inorganic chemistry

-          Find out how to define and identify isomers

-          Describe uses and discover ways of polymerization

Resources/Strategies – how are you going to learn it?

-          Create an online blog where I will post topics for discussion about organic chemistry from what I learned

-          Research online for resources

Target date for completion

-          Class 10

Evidence – how are you going to know when you’ve learned it?

-          When I have successfully created a blog that shares what I have learned with the public

Verification – how are you going to prove you learned?

-          When I can correctly identify isomers and post on the blog, show knowledge of polymerization, and have conversations with peers who are experts on the topic
