Intro

Hello, my name is Rob Carruthers and this is my first blog of any kind. In this blog I would like to explore the world of chemistry and teach myself some of the features of organic chemistry. Much of this has escaped my memory as the years went by, and I would need to understand this if I were to teach a typical high school chemistry class.  I looked through the grade 12 chemistry curriculum, and there were some areas that were a bit fuzzy to me, so I decided I needed to brush up on my organic chemistry.

While researching organic chemistry is important to me, completing a blog is also something that I feel is necessary for me to keep up with the world! I haven’t blogged before, and in the information age, I feel it might be time to start.

I am currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Education program at Acadia, and I’m my second year. I’ve completed my Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics degree at St. FX in 2010. I enjoyed chemistry class back in high school and would like to re-educate myself in the field.
